Frank goes for the punch but Arthur solidifies himself into ash before the hit could connect, burning his hand as it collides into the crumbling ash face of a substitute burning him causing him to have a knee jerk reaction snatching his hand back. His fist covered in slight first degree burns up to his wrist letting out a scream before the ash clone denigrates to the ground. The disturbing sound of reversed wood crackling like a bonfire that is in amber before reappearing behind Frank, Arthur opens his arms wide and begins to chant his arms glow a bright orange as if he were to release the sun from his very hands. Clovefield sat back looking at Arthur as he chanted away, she knew him while, she had thought of him to had grown out of that habit of chanting to himself like his abilities were some kind of magic spell but It was also something that relaxed him in the middle of battle. When Frank notices him the hands shoot out a fire ball only for it to instantly be seemingly standing in place, pressing the pause button on life, for a moment looking frozen in time the raging swirl of fire blossoming, like a spring rose. Then dissipates only revealing Frank at the other end his shirt burned and his bare chest out the edges of his jacket smoking from the attack, his chest glowing as it absorbs the energy from Arthur. Frank’s abilities showing they come with a cost more than it is worth he drops his head in exguahstion, he gives a deep breath only taking a glimpse up when the shadow glides over him, floating, swift. Seeing Arthur’s fist already raised and ready to end the sparring match in victory as he grins his skin on his arm ashes up and cracks where you’d suppose his veins would be with fire slightly visible. The immense amount of force, unexpectedly knocks Arthur off his feet, as the crowd as takes preparations to cover their faces from the gust of dirt kicked into the air they still vigorously chat and cheer, growing more intense and Arthur and Frank become visible once more.
Clovefield follows covering her eyes with her forearms, June lend over “you seem un-pleased” she says noticing the analyzing look over her face. “not un-phased as much as unimpressed” the crowd drowning out parts of their conversation “what!?”, “ I said it’s unimpressive as they seem to not have learned from last semester” but subtly she knew she was impressed by that shock wave counter move Frank pulled off, very few have a absorption ability to various degrees like that. Frank was known for his absorb and reflection of others abilities, it’s not that the attack was new but rather the amount of energy he could now absorbed and distributed in a short amount of time. Their fight styles were brash and sloppy, punches landing but little impact as they shrug off each other’s blows.
The street of elm was quite for a Monday, well mostly. A local park in the middle of a neighborhood scattered with pet owners and children, fetch with dogs and swings with kids of various ranges. The sounds of shouting echoing through the streets from the gas station down the road, the door to the gas station comes swinging open and shattering as it hits the brick wall. Two masked figures come running out an one is still holding a shotgun while walking backwards. “Aye, move your ass we have to go!” he pauses for a moment before looking up and noticing a camera, taking aim before the nose of the barrel of the gun turns a gradation purple, a spark of electricity before a burst of lightning shoots out the barrel disabling it almost immediately. “ Dude!” the driver shouts as the sirens in the distance, he slide across the hood of the car as he jumps in slamming the door the tires spin in place compacting smoke into the area before the car finally shoots off like a rocket leaving skid marks behind , 1977 Camaro z28, orange will two black racing strips down the middle of the body.
“Luke, what the hell was that?!” the driver shouts at him as they pick up speed going down the obnoxiously hilly straight single laned road, they were almost cracking 110 mph “There was a camera outside the gas station , it…” before he could finish the third person in the back seat leans forward tapping Luke on the shoulder before pointing forward “We got cherries and berries, boys” in the distance several police cars gearing it right towards them at high speed, the real question was had they been spotted or did they have the jump. Luke looks over “Howard!”, “Colt, you got me?” Colt pulls the mask off his face his golden pure blonde locks drip forward as his blue eye seem brighter than when the mask was on, his baby face fooled many by sucking them in with innocents; he rubs his hands together slowly “Colt?!” Howard shouts even louder as they go down a hill temporally blocking the police from their view and vice versa, only a large hill in sight knowing that it’ll only be a few seconds before they come into sight with the police once again “Damn it, colt!” The panic clear in the air with both Howard and Luke turning to look back. Colt finally placing his hands on both the back of the driver and passenger seat.
As they approach the top of the hill the car collapse in on itself, the cops finally making it over the hill they speed on to the gas station hoping to catch the perps before they could get away.
