To symbolize my home state of NC

The hours passing felt thin and swift, made the day feel short. This was a matter of long planning into the night as the sun finally closed its eye on their small town of Severn, North Carolina. The dimly lit living room pulsating a faint purple from Mianae Grimm as her hands are steady on the center of Clovefield’s forehead “ Are you sure, this is safe?” Frank loves at Sammie, “No but in theory, it should be possible right. If I can amplify her telekinetic abilities then she could connect with Clovefield in her dreams…plus let’s also not forget Clovefield has Fulminokinesi, “That…didn’t answer my…”, “Hey well here it goes” without hesitation, Sammie places her hand on the back on Mianae Grimm instantly making her eyes burn a golden fiery yellow as her hair begins to slowly gravitate upward like a loss of gravity, Frank sits back, clutching his stomach as it Croaked, he grabs one of the pizza silences noticing the steam starting to come off it, looking up to see slightly visible force around them, the energies it gave off made the hairs on the back of Frank’s neck stand up. Mianae Grimm’s skull illusion mask once again appear over her face but this was more detailed than before this one had a small set of horns around the length, no mouth and her sunken eyes were dark like peering into the multi-dimensional void. Her purple force clashing in a mix with Sammie’s amplifying abilities when he begins to feel the electrical pulse of lightning cloak Clovefield, it whipped around the room. Sharp, quick, never the less powerful making Frank have to dodge with unprepared reflexes. His pizza had fallen on the floor but he didn’t care he was only concerned about if this plan was entirely thought out or not.

She chewed slowly as the food turned sours in her mouth, “Clovefield, you doing alright?” it takes a second but as it registers Clovefield blinks a few times before responding “uh, yeah. Just in my head.”, “Ah, I…”, “I know that look” both Frank and Mianae Grimm’s words get entangled as she takes over his sentence. Clovefield stops chewing, taking the time to explain to them about the delivery boy “And you’re saying you’ve never seen him before?” Mianae Grimm asks “I mean think about it Grimm, how many delivery drivers do you know in the small town of Severn?” she shrugs to his question before counting on her fingers “It’s not many yo, a place where everyone knows everyone basically and a random nobody appears out of then air. Somethings up for sure.” He says looking out the open blinds window as the sunsets on his eyes.

The vivid bright moon glitches in the sky before it stabilizes then cracks slowly drifting apart. The wind at a steady breeze “So this is where we start, uh?” Mianae Grimm says turning her head to Clovefield “It appears so”, “why so at a loss for words? It’s your head”, “yeah well, how often do you travel through your head?” Mianae Grimm stares as they approach the bridge looking over the emerald-colored river that had a creature with long legs like a giraffe, the body of a bear but with silver fur, red tips, and a baboon face. Its tail swinging in large swift movements under the water, “Hey I’ve seen that creature” Mianae Grimm points down as it zaps under the bridge down the river stream “Yeah, that’s the Supreme Reavor” Mianae Grimm raises an eyebrow at the answer she just received before giggling rolling in a stomach clutching laughter. “Stop, don’t laugh…I was like eight or nine when I created him”, “Okay okay” they stretch a few more miles up the road; at least as clear as any road could be with green water, orange skies, and red grass. Empty field after empty field, with breaks of thin, weak trees every few feet. “Okay we’ve had to be walking for an hour now and all we’ve come across is grass and trees, more grass and fewer trees.”, “ stop yel….” Clovefield’s words stop as a swift change in the air comes in a small flicker of wind that breezes by, as they continue on the purple ball of sun high above blockaded by a bundle of dark grey-ish, orange clouds. “ and this is…”, “ something that shouldn’t be here” as Clovefield finishes Mianae Grimm’s sentence they inch forward in caution and Heading into the depressing drenched sky taking away from the dirt path into the emerald grass the area around it looking fractured “What is this” Mianae Grimm pokes at the barrier. As her hilt hits the barrier it wabbles in response, “I’ve never seen anything like it” Clovefield says as she walks closer and examines it, it let off whispers so faint it would’ve been impossible to make out what they were saying. “Think you could break it?” Clovefield asked “I don’t know, this kind of mental barrier before. This is master craft stuff.”, “you mean like Ms. Web level?”, “possible, I mean. I only know from what I’ve experienced and Ms. Web’s level of telepathic intuitiveness is quite high” Clovefield tries to extend forward her hand slowly reaching towards the barrier which gives no response to her. Mianae Grimm stands idle by her side, watching. Her fingertips touch the barrier but nothing, not even a ripple “this is odd, Mia will you…” before she could get the words from her throat Mianae Grimm was already walking towards the barrier. Swiftly and forcefully pushing her hand into the barrier with ease, she turns as half her body is left sticking out “not odd at all, this barrier wasn’t made to keep whatever that storm is in. It was created to keep you out Clovie”, Clovefield sighs “ if I can’t come then what’s the point?”, “ try something for me…” this peaked Clovefield’s interest as she lefts out a soft hum “meditate”.

A single word was all she said before the back of her had got shallowed by the barrier, it was almost the illusion of water the way she sunk. “ugh, meditate? Please as if I need to…” she thought it out, holding on to her last words as if they were impossible to let go of. Clovefield kneels, hands by her side as she breathes slowly.

Mianae Grimm pushes forward in this twisted and perverse dream. The moment her foot touched the ground it puffed him the debris the air was dry to match along with a brewing storm; a collision of strong darken purple and bleeding pink swirling overhead “This is insane” she whispers to herself being caught off guard by a loud crackle then pop coming from above. Walking through the inches of soot and dirt, she passes miles of the empty plain of torched grass, and dead decaying trees with deep devils caws coming from within the distance “Just what is it that is being hidden so deep here?” her curiosity pushing her furthermore than any fear. The speed of strong gust winds springs her way, causing her to create her white mask to prevent squinting and be at the ready as the hairs on the back of her neck and arms standing up. Beyond the winds, she could see a green glow, was it a flame or a technological light? You couldn’t be sure but she moved forward anyway, gripping the hilt of her sword tighter causing it to burst with yellow energy. As the strong winds of the storm nullify her hearing temporarily as she climbs closer to the light, as she breaks through she saw sitting in front of the flame an image that makes her eyes shake in disbelief and her heart nearly stopped from the inconceivable possibility.

Meanwhile back at the barrier Clovefield struggles to meditate, her focus so misaimed she breaks out of it every time she feels she is close. “Damn it!” she cries out, shaking hands as she hits the ground in frustration “unbelieve bulls-“ She holds as her slight show of anger begins to crack the veil, “What just happened?”

Frank sat there, jack off laying on the arm of the chair. Sweat pouring down his forehead as the house temperature begins to ever increase the longer they continue producing such mass amounts of energy. He nods off for a bit when the instant shrieking of car tires and lights begin to surround the house. His heartbeat intensifies, while his breathing ground rapid. He stands in front of the girls before realizing that off in the distance behind the bright purple-ish hyper lights were softer blue-toned ones blink rhythmically, when the surprise of the front door bursting open and the multiple strings of beamed lights comes sway in, sweeping for anyone to identify before landing on Frank nearly blinding him as his first glow a translucent white. He screams, charging in leaving all to be heard where a series of energized blows, cracking of walls and breaking of the floor for a moment before it falls silent.
